The Hamptons at Brightwood Community

The Hamptons at Brightwood community is among one of the best neighborhoods in Washington County and the Hagerstown area.

We are a close knit community with organized picnics and community events, an active Neighborhood Watch program and more.

Located just off the south eastern end of Mt Aetna Rd, near Black Rock Country Club and Golf Center and Washington County Regional Park the Hamptons at Brightwood are quiet yet close enough to all that Hagerstown has to offer.  A few miles from I-70 makes the community a short trip to major cities of Baltimore and Washington, DC.  Heading north and west of the community just ten short minutes away are the states of Pennsylvania and West Virginia offering even more diversity of activities and change of pace.

Hagerstown Maryland has a population of 40,152 (2019), with a mild climate throughout the year.

Hagerstown is known as being the favorite spot for civil war history buffs near Antietam National Battlefield where the bloodiest One Day Battle in American History took place. 23,000 soldiers were killed, wounded or missing after twelve hours of savage combat on September 17, 1862. The Battle of Antietam ended the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia's first invasion into the North and led Abraham Lincoln's issuance of the preliminary Emancipation Proclamation.

Southern Business and Development magazine has recognized Hagerstown-Washington County as one of the "Top 25 Great Locations in the 17 southern US States."  Hagerstown is also known for having great golf and upscale shopping, including the Premium Outlets, restaurants, museums and theaters

The Hamptons at Brightwood has a private Facebook group that is used for open, uncensored community communication.  Members of this group are registered residents within the community.  If you're a resident and would like to join, please complete the three questions on the page for residence validation.
