Located just off the south eastern end of Mt Aetna Rd, near Black Rock Country Club and Golf Center and Washington County Regional Park the Hamptons at Brightwood are quiet yet close enough to all that Hagerstown has to offer. A few miles from I-70 makes the community a short trip to major cities of Baltimore and Washington, DC. Heading north and west of the community just ten short minutes away are the states of Pennsylvania and West Virginia offering even more diversity of activities and change of pace.

The Battle of Antietam ended the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia's first invasion into the North and led Abraham Lincoln's issuance of the preliminary Emancipation Proclamation.
